Is your jewellery ethically made?

Fashion/ Costume Jewellery: most is individually handmade in the United Kingdom, using beads and findings from around the world.

Gemstone / silver jewellery: is mix of our own handmade designs, pre-made items, and second hand silver - please read item descriptions for more details. As best as possible I try to source from suppliers who can trace their gemstones from the mine, and who support environmental/ ethical work jewellery making practices and charities where appropriate. Nicabrac is increasingly cutting and polishing our own gemstones, sourcing specimens ourselves so I know full provenance, and using safe primitive non-machinery cutting and polishing techniques which use no electricity or dangerous chemicals.

Vintage Jewellery: is always good ethical choice, as you are naturally recycling pre-owned jewellery. Vintage jewellery can be very collectable, and is also a perfect choice for people who want wear beautiful unique items that no one else has.
